Description

Bust (from chest to top of head) of female in draped head piece; figure is leaning to the subject's right with head facing slightly downward. Figure is all white.

Accrual Method

Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021

Condition

Good: Significant amount of pitting throughout; nose and upper lip of face are compressed; veil is chipped at 1 o'clock; back shows crescent scratch and chip on left shoulder.
