Description
Sculpture of dancer in knee-length robe poised on right foot with left arm raised above head. Right arm at side, holding hem of robe. Left foot raised at side.
Accrual Method
Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021

Condition
Fair: Loss of plaster and plasticine on raised arm - entirely missing from elbow to hand and partially missing from shoulder to elbow. Hand is supported by support wire. Support wire is exposed from shoulder to hand. Raised hand appears intended to hold robe, but robe is missing. Plasticine is also missing from left food. Crack in robe above supporting right leg and on right foot. Evidence of a patch on left ribcage.
