Description

Plaster cast in three pieces including rubber mold of seated woman, arms resting on legs pulled in to torso. Figure's left arm and hand support the head; right arm stretches across body with hand holding elbow of left arm. Feet are crossed in front with right leg over left.

Accrual Method

Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021 Images for this and 2006.400 were swapped. Unclear if objects were also numbered incorrectly. Need to check whenever the case can be opened. - Rachel 2021

Gift of the Meta V. W. Fuller Trust Part of the Estate of Meta V. W. Fuller from 1968-2001. In the collection of the Meta V. W. Fuller Trust, 2001-2006

Unstable: Three part mold is in jeopardy. Reinforcing rods on two of the three plaster segments are exposed, having lost material around them. Lots of staining on all three sections of plaster (labeled A, B, and C) Large hole in section A of plaster. Rubber mold is in good condition with small plaster accretion on figure's right ankle that is crossed in front.
