The history of slavery and race in the United States as well as the contemporary legacies of our nation’s slaveholding past have become topics of widespread interest and debate. In fall 2020, each of the Honors students enrolled in HSTY 165: Slavery, Race, and Rights in American history at Framingham State University selected a topic of particular interest to them to explore in depth. The following posts are the product of their own independent research and writing. They have created this site to share their insights with the wider public.
