Description
Middle aged woman, leaning on a fence or wall with right elbow on wall and arm folded back to support chin. Though her back is to the wall, she gazes to the right. She has lots of hair, tied up in back and wears a dress. She also has a shawl or blanket over right shoulder, down to waist. She has large earrings. There is an unusual "blob" (~2X2cm) of plasticene to the left of the woman, at the base of the wall.
Accrual Method
Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. Condition
Poor: CAUTION: The plasticene figure is placed at the rear and right of the wooden base. The base is too light and the entire object is inclined to the rear, potentially falling over backward. There are several cracks in the plasticene, especially near the neck. The back of the head extends beyond the back of the base, making the piece more unstable.
