                Description
                                Cross-legged, hooded robed man sitting on ground, right leg tucked under; left leg with foot on the ground, left knee elevated under figure's right hand; right arm extends across chest at waist height; left arm extends across body, with left hand under chin. Whole figures is painted in a reddish tone.            
                Accrual Method
                                Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021 Alternate name - Seated Figure (male) Came to us from Robert Fuller

                Condition
                                Good: Minor plaster accretions on back; minor chips, most notably the nose and upper lip and base at 6 o'clock. Paint and color are patchy throughout.
