Portrait bust of man (head and neck) facing slightly to right. Man has hair hair cropped just below the start of his ears. Sculpture is painted bronze.
Gilbert was a violinist and composer who resided in Cambridge, MA. Judith Kerr's thesis appendix lists c. 1928 as date. Gilbert died in 1928, so a possible memorial piece.
