- "In the fall of 1962, Father Wilson told Mrs. Fuller than one of the young men had made a cross for the church, and that he 'would like to have a Christ to go on it. But he didn't like the idea of buying a figure of Christ and attaching it to the cross. He thought it would be nice if I would make something. So I made the Christ to go on his cross.'"
