  Head/neck bust of woman. Head done in white plaster and has a wide, long neck ending in a long metal pole. She has short hair, but it is curled around the forehead and at the back of the neck. Head is tilted slightly to the right.

  Head/neck of woman with elaborate hairdo. Head is done in white plaster, but is stained at the neck under the chin and on one ear. Hairdo is a large bun at the back of the head. A Metal pole is sticking out from her long neck.

  Head is attached to a painted plaster base. This is a highly stylized and intricate adaptation. Great attention to detail has been paid to the waviness of the hair, as well as the rendering of the ears. The subject appears to have a pronounced forehead and deep set eyes. The pupils of the eyes have been bored out to a hole, which actually makes them look more realistic. Finely detailed nose and lips, as well as sunken cheekbones and a somewhat cleft chin make this gentleman an exquisite piece of sculpture. There is a neck included, as well, which comes to a point in the front, giving the sculpture somewhat of a "pedestal" look.

  Portrait bust of man (head and neck) facing slightly to right. Man has hair hair cropped just below the start of his ears. Sculpture is painted bronze. Gilbert was a violinist and composer who resided in Cambridge, MA. Judith Kerr's thesis appendix lists c. 1928 as date. Gilbert died in 1928, so a possible memorial piece.
