Description

Two-piece plaster cast with cotton twine. Plaster is wide with a wide bottom that narrows at the middle before slightly widening again at top. Plaster is white with specks of red.

Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021

Good: One of the cast pieces has a horizontal crack at midpoint, extending across the piece; piece is unstable. That same piece exhibits several additional cracks in lower third but they do not appear to be through the entire piece.
