Morgan was the back-up for the Teacher In Space payload specialist position.Johnson Space Center's caption: Barbara R. McAuliffe is scheduled to launch aboard the space shuttle Challenger, STS-51L mission, herself early next year as the United States' first in-space citizen observer.
