Description

Head and shoulders of a woman with shoulder length veil. Done in a very dark brown clay. Woman is looking up slightly to the left. Nose is slightly indented at the tip.

Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021 Came to us from Pat West.

Fair: Crown of head has hairline crack three quarters around. Loss on bottom of piece right facing side. Black specks/accretion on edge of veil, back of veil. Scratches/discoloration on right facing shoulder.
