Accrual Method
-
Collection was gifted to the Danforth in 2006. Unfortunately they sat uncatalogued for close to 10 years. It took until an IMLS grant awarded in 2015 through 2016 for this collection to be catalogued and put into the collections database. - Rachel 2021 Very likely a study for her book ends 'Silence and Repose' as this piece bears striking resemblance in both facial features and posture to one of the bookends.
-
Provenance
-
Gift of the Meta V. W. Fuller Trust Part of the Estate of Meta V. W. Fuller from 1968-2001. In the collection of the Meta V. W. Fuller Trust, 2001-2006
-
Condition
-
Good: Good except for few places where metal is broken and underlying structure is visible-- to left of figure's throat and on lower right hand corner at front of bust; also small hole on right hand corner at back of bust. Figure's right eye has crack so that underlying material shows through; dent on chin and under figure's right eye
